Portland-Oakland Deal: Moran for Watson
Friday, December 1st , 2062
It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the Portland Timberjacks and Oakland Athletics finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends Portland's 25-year old minor league RHP Svc Moran to Oakland in a swap for 29-year old RHP Jared Watson. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow.

In his career, Watson has crafted a 28-19 mark with a 3.70 ERA and tossed 445 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .246 against him and he has 282 strikeouts.
